David & I met up this afternoon to see Nick Cave’s Heard installation at Grand Central. It was incredible! Although I couldn’t see that well because of how short I am, the performance involved so much sound & movement that it didn’t even matter that much. If you are in NYC this week, GO. (The actual performance is about 20 minutes long, but you should get there about a half hour early so you can get as close as possible.) An especially memorable part of the performance was seeing the crowd of people instantaneously break out in smiles the moment the horse began to move and come to life. (photo creds go to the tall & talented David Sankey)
Performances take place daily at 11am & 2pm and the last day of the exhibit is this Sunday, March 31st.
